Frequently Asked Questions

The questions we get asked most before this type of engagement starts.

What is OracleCloudCare?
OracleCloudCare is eAppSys’s named managed support service for Oracle Fusion Cloud customers. It covers Oracle SaaS (HCM, ERP, SCM, EPM, PPM) incident resolution, quarterly update management, performance optimisation, integration maintenance, and custom development — with 24/7 monitoring and defined SLAs. As eappsys.com describes it: ‘OracleCloudCare covers monitoring, troubleshooting, upgrades, and maintenance, ensuring that our clients’ Oracle environments operate optimally and evolve with minimal disruption.’
OracleCloudCare covers the full Oracle Fusion Cloud suite across SaaS, PaaS, iPaaS, and IaaS: Oracle Fusion HCM, ERP, SCM, EPM, and PPM at the SaaS layer; Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), VBCS, and APEX at the PaaS layer; and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) at the IaaS layer. eappsys.com states: ‘We provide ongoing support for key Oracle tools such as Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS), Application Express (Apex), BI Publisher (BIP), and Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI).’
OracleCloudCare provides end-to-end quarterly update management: reviewing Oracle’s release notes for in-scope features; validating test environments post-update; making opt-in decisions for new functionality in consultation with the customer; regression testing key business processes and integrations; and co-ordinating production environment rollout. Oracle updates test environments first (two weeks before production), which provides the validation window. Cohort scheduling means production updates in February/May/August/November (Cohort A), March/June/September/December (Cohort B), or April/July/October/January (Cohort C).
Yes — OracleCloudCare is specifically designed to work in multi-vendor environments. As eappsys.com states: ‘We work best in multi-vendor environments and help all the teams involved in making sure that the deliverables that are the end customer’s responsibilities are made available to the implementation teams on time.’ OracleCloudCare can complement a system integrator’s delivery responsibilities, supplement an internal IT team, or serve as the primary Oracle support resource for organisations without internal Oracle expertise.
OracleCloudCare SLAs are defined by incident severity — P1 (production down), P2 (major functionality impaired), P3 (non-critical issue), and P4 (enhancement request) — with response and resolution targets for each. Specific SLA terms are agreed at contract stage based on the scope of support and the criticality of the modules covered. 24/7 coverage is available for P1 and P2 incidents as a standard component of the managed service.
